IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING PMIX STUDIO
About pMix Studio
pMix Studio is a professional live video production application for iOS and iPadOS, developed and operated by Smash It Studios Pty Ltd ACN 143 039 070 (“Smash It Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). pMix Studio allows users to create professional multi-camera live productions on iOS and iPadOS devices.
These Terms of Service (“Terms,” “Agreement”) constitute a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) (“User,” “you,” “your”) and Smash It Studios.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using pMix Studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use pMix Studio.
1. License Grant
1.1 App Store License
pMix Studio is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of pMix Studio is subject to:
- (a) These Terms of Service
- (b) Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA)
- (c) The App Store Terms and Conditions
1.2 Scope of License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Smash It Studios grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, worldwide license to:
- (a) Download and install pMix Studio on iOS or iPadOS devices that you own or control
- (b) Use pMix Studio for your personal or commercial live video production purposes
- (c) Use pMix Studio in accordance with the Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms and Conditions
1.3 License Restrictions
This license does NOT include the right to:
- (a) Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of pMix Studio
- (b) Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code of pMix Studio
- (c) Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, redistribute, or transfer pMix Studio to any third party
- (d) Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- (e) Use pMix Studio in any unlawful manner or for any unlawful purpose
- (f) Use pMix Studio to violate any third-party rights
2. Account and Registration
2.1 Account Information
If pMix Studio requires account registration (for cloud features, licensing, or premium services), you agree to:
- (a) Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- (b) Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
- (c) Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
- (d) Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
2.2 Account Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.
3. Subscription and Payment (If Applicable)
3.1 In-App Purchases
pMix Studio may offer in-app purchases for premium features, subscriptions, or additional functionality. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store.
3.2 Subscription Terms
If you purchase a subscription:
- (a) Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- (b) Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- (c) You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID Account Settings
- (d) No refunds will be provided for unused portions of subscription periods
3.3 Pricing Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will apply to new subscriptions and renewals after notice is provided to you.
3.4 Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for premium features. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you will be automatically charged for a subscription unless otherwise specified.
4. Use of pMix Studio
4.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use pMix Studio only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- (a) Use pMix Studio to create, transmit, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- (b) Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- (c) Use pMix Studio to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
- (d) Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
- (e) Interfere with or disrupt the operation of pMix Studio or servers
- (f) Use pMix Studio for any commercial service bureau without our written authorization
4.2 User Content
You retain ownership of all video content, audio content, graphics, and other materials you create using pMix Studio (“User Content”). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
4.3 User Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- (a) All User Content you create, stream, record, or transmit using pMix Studio
- (b) Ensuring you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for your User Content
- (c) Compliance with all applicable laws regarding your User Content
- (d) Any consequences arising from your User Content
We do not access, view, store, or monitor your User Content. All content remains on your device or is transmitted directly to your chosen streaming platform.
5. Third-Party Services and Integrations
5.1 Streaming Platforms
pMix Studio allows you to stream to third-party platforms (YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, custom RTMP servers). Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
5.2 NDI Technology
pMix Studio incorporates NDI® (Network Device Interface) technology licensed from Vizrt Group. NDI® is a trademark of Vizrt Group. Use of NDI features is subject to NDI SDK terms and conditions.
5.3 iPhone Camera Integration
pMix Studio allows connection to iPhones as wireless cameras. You are responsible for ensuring proper network security and authorization when connecting devices.
5.4 Third-Party Liability
We are not responsible for:
- (a) The availability, reliability, or performance of third-party services
- (b) Changes to third-party APIs or services that affect pMix Studio functionality
- (c) Loss or corruption of data transmitted to third-party services
- (d) Third-party service violations or breaches
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Ownership
pMix Studio, including all software, code, algorithms, user interface, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Smash It Studios or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Trademarks
“pMix Studio,” the pmix logo, and related marks are trademarks of Smash It Studios Pty Ltd. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
6.3 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about pMix Studio, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback without compensation or attribution.
7. Privacy and Data
7.1 Privacy Policy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://pmix.studio/privacy-policy.
7.2 Local Data Storage
pMix Studio stores production data (project files, scene configurations, source settings) locally on your iOS/iPadOS device. You are responsible for backing up this data.
7.3 No Content Access
We do not access, view, record, store, or transmit your video or audio content. All production content remains on your device or is transmitted directly to your chosen streaming platforms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
8.1 “AS IS” Basis
pMix Studio is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- (a) Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- (b) Warranties that pMix Studio will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
- (c) Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content or information
8.2 System Requirements
You are solely responsible for ensuring your iOS/iPadOS device (running iOS 18.0+ or iPadOS 18.0+) and network infrastructure meet the minimum system requirements for pMix Studio.
8.3 No Guarantee of Performance
We do not guarantee:
- (a) Uninterrupted access to pMix Studio
- (b) Compatibility with all devices, cameras, or streaming platforms
- (c) Specific frame rates, video quality, or streaming performance
- (d) Availability of any particular feature or functionality
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Exclusion of Consequential Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Smash It Studios, its directors, employees, contractors, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- (a) Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- (b) Cost of substitute products or services
- (c) Loss of use or interruption of business
- (d) Damages arising from use or inability to use pMix Studio
- (e) Damages arising from production failures, missed events, or lost recordings
9.2 Cap on Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability arising from or related to pMix Studio or these Terms shall not exceed:
- (a) The amount you paid for pMix Studio in the 12 months preceding the claim; or
- (b) AUD $100, whichever is greater
9.3 Basis of the Bargain
You acknowledge that the limitations of liability set forth in this section are fundamental elements of the agreement between you and Smash It Studios, and that we would not provide pMix Studio without these limitations.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Smash It Studios, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:
- (a) Your use or misuse of pMix Studio
- (b) Your User Content
- (c) Your violation of these Terms
- (d) Your violation of any third-party rights
- (e) Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
11. Updates and Modifications
11.1 App Updates
We may release updates, patches, bug fixes, and new versions of pMix Studio. Updates may:
- (a) Add, modify, or remove features
- (b) Change system requirements
- (c) Require you to accept updated Terms
11.2 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:
- (a) We will post the updated Terms in pMix Studio and on our website
- (b) We will update the “Effective Date” at the top of these Terms
- (c) Continued use of pMix Studio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms
11.3 Discontinuation
We reserve the right to discontinue pMix Studio or any features thereof at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.
12. Term and Termination
12.1 Term
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by either you or Smash It Studios.
12.2 Termination by You
You may terminate these Terms at any time by:
- (a) Uninstalling pMix Studio from all your devices
- (b) Ceasing all use of pMix Studio
- (c) Canceling any active subscriptions
12.3 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to pMix Studio immediately if:
- (a) You breach these Terms
- (b) You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- (c) We are required to do so by law
- (d) Continuing to provide pMix Studio creates legal or security risks
12.4 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- (a) Your license to use pMix Studio terminates immediately
- (b) You must cease all use of pMix Studio and delete all copies
- (c) Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimer), 9 (Limitation of Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 13 (General Provisions) survive termination
13. General Provisions
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
13.2 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Smash It Studios regarding pMix Studio and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
13.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
13.4 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
13.5 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights granted hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
13.6 Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond their reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, labor disputes, or government actions.
13.7 Export Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. or Australian government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country.
13.8 Apple-Specific Terms
pMix Studio is licensed to you through the Apple App Store. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for pMix Studio. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to pMix Studio or your use thereof.
13.9 Notices
All notices to Smash It Studios must be sent to:

14. Definitions
“pMix Studio” means the professional live video production application for iOS and iPadOS developed by Smash It Studios Pty Ltd.
“User Content” means all video, audio, graphics, text, and other materials you create, record, stream, or transmit using pMix Studio.
“Third-Party Services” means streaming platforms, NDI sources, external devices, and other services integrated with pMix Studio.
“Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is capable of being associated with a particular individual.
“Force Majeure Event” means an unforeseeable event beyond the reasonable control of a party, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, labor disputes, government actions, or failures of third-party infrastructure.
