Audio Player

The Audio Player input source plays audio files in your production — background music, sound effects, intro/outro music, and audio beds. It’s an audio-only source with no video output.

Adding an audio source

  1. Tap + on an empty source slot
  2. Select Audio Player
  3. Choose an audio file from your files

Playback controls

The same controls as the Media Player:

Control Description
Play Start or resume playback — tapping the track itself pauses and resumes, holding your position
Pause Pause at the current position
Stop Stop and reset to the beginning
Seek Jump to a position (0–1)
Rate Playback speed (0.1x to 4x)
Loop Repeat playback continuously

Audio in the mixer

The audio player’s output appears in the mixer at its slot number. Adjust the volume independently — for background music, you’ll typically want it quieter than your main camera audio.

Loop modes

Mode Description
Once Play once and stop
Infinite Loop continuously — the loop point is spliced sample-accurately, so a music bed doesn’t dip or click at the wrap
Count Loop a specific number of times

OSC control

Uses the same media OSC addresses:

Address Args Description
/streamit/media/{n}/play Play
/streamit/media/{n}/pause Pause
/streamit/media/{n}/stop Stop and reset
/streamit/media/{n}/seek float 0–1 Seek to position
/streamit/media/{n}/loop int 0/1 Enable/disable loop

Use cases

  • Background music — Loop a music track during your show, set to low volume
  • Intro/outro jingle — Play a short clip at the start or end of your production
  • Sound effects — Trigger sound effects during the show
  • Music bed — Continuous ambient music under commentary
